The Museum of East Texas offers free group tours for all educators: Teachers, Home School Groups, Specialty Groups, Daycare, or Adult Care facilities.

About Our Tours

Group tours are designed to engage the visitors in the current exhibits and connect them to the art. Tours will always cover several fine art TEKS. These docent-guided tours are two hours long and include an art project students can take home. Tours can accommodate up to 80 students.  Picnic blankets are available for lunch on the plaza.  

 

Lufkin is home to 3 fantastic museums: the Museum of East Texas, the Naranjo Museum of Natural History and the Texas Forestry Museum. We can partner with another museum to create an all day experience.
