FAQs

Is there a registration deadline, and what is the cancellation policy?

Registration closes 1 week before each course. Out of town visitors will be addressed on an individual basis. To cancel, you must call the museum as soon as possible. No refunds are issued after registration, including for "no-shows," with the exception of classes canceled by the Museum of East Texas.

Are there any scholarships for Art Camp?

Please call the museum to inquire about scholarships. Students may be eligible to attend 2 classes at no cost thanks to our sponsors below.

How are age groups determined for art camp?

Students must meet the minimal age requirement for an age group by the day the class begins. Ex. If you are signed up for Mini Masters (ages 4-5) June 24-28, your child must be 4 or 5 by June 24. Age restrictions are strictly enforced and are not negotiable.

Does the Museum of East Texas provide before class or after class supervision?

Children may be dropped off no earlier than 15 minutes before their scheduled class time and must be picked up promptly after class. Children may NOT stay for lunch. Parents/guardians MUST walk their children in and out of the Museum.

What is supplied by Art Camp?

The Museum of East Texas supplies water, snacks, and all materials unless stated otherwise in the course description.

What should my child wear to art class?

Wear comfortable clothes that can get messy.

What are the behavior expectations?

Students are expected to listen, follow instructions, participate in class activities, respect others, respect property, and have fun! Parents needing to stay in the classroom with their children will be addressed as needed on an individual basis.
