Class Description
In Hot Dogs & Cool Cats, young artists will discover how colors work together to create exciting works of art. We'll experiment with painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, and other mixed-media projects as we explore the magic of color. Students will learn about warm and cool colors, the color wheel, color mixing, complementary colors, and how artists use color to create mood, contrast, and excitement. Through fun, hands-on projects, they'll see how colors can tell stories, make artwork pop, and completely change the way a piece of art feels. This class is the perfect introduction to color theory for curious, creative kids who love trying new art materials and techniques!

Cancellation Policy
Registration closes 1 week before each session. To cancel, you must call the museum as soon as possible. No refunds are issued after registration, including for "no-shows", with the exception of classes cancelled by the Museum of East Texas. Classes must meet a minimum of 4 students to proceed as scheduled. Before enrolling your child, kindly verify the group's age/grade level requirements for seamless registration. The Museum of East Texas is not responsible for incorrect or incomplete registrations. Thank you!
