166 Trees Cover the Main Gallery and Chapel in our Philanthropic Forest

ree

Now through January 16, the Museum of East Texas is transformed into a winter wonderland in our entry, main gallery, and chapel spaces as we host our 31st Annual Festival of Trees. This year, we are showcasing 166 uniquely and individually themed and decorated trees, thanks to our incredible sponsors. Each tree is sponsored by a business, individual, or organization and it is then decorated by either the sponsors or our pool of volunteers. Money raised through tree sponsorships provide Art Camp Scholarships and help us keep our doors open for free year-round. We love leading tours for groups and you can book one here: metlufkin.org/fieldtrips For scheduled tours, we can provide an opportunity for groups to create in our Education Room and see the trees.

We are open to the public seven days a week throughout the holidays: from 10 to 5 Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 on the weekends. We are closed on December 13, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. We are always FREE and encourage visitors to return again and again! While you're here, you can participate in an ornament scavenger hunt, create in our Education Room, and take in our other exhibits. To see each tree individually showcased, follow us on Instagram and Facebook, where we feature trees daily throughout the event.

Thank you to this year's tree sponsors
