Class Description

Class Title: Unicorn Habitat Date: Thursday, May 8 Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Grade Level: 3rd - 5th Grade Cost: $8 per class Supplies: All supplies provided Join us for an exciting afterschool art class designed for young artists in 3rd to 5th grade! In these classes, students will learn art basics through a variety of media and learn a little art history along the way. No experience or prior art knowledge required! Classes will start promptly at 4pm, when you are able to drop off your child and pick them up by 5pm. We kindly request that all families ensure timely pickup of their children, as the Museum closes at 5pm. In this particular class, "Unicorn Habitat," students will learn about the Unicorn Tapestries from the Middle Ages, develop problem-solving strategies by experimenting with materials and methods of construction, and build a 3D unicorn enclosure using foam, wooden pieces, and recycled materials. With time permitting, students will share their creations with their other artist classmates.
