Class Description

Students will learn beginner clay techniques such as slab construction, pinch pots, and coiling to create a variety of beautiful projects. Not only will they use kiln-fire clay, but will learn what is possible with modeling clay and air dry clay—materials easily accessible at home. This class takes place Monday through Friday (June 17-21) from 9am-12pm. Students must be 6-10 years old to participate. Students must meet the minimal age requirement for an age group by the day the class begins. Age requirements are nonnegotiable and are strictly enforced for each class. There are no exceptions. Registration closes 1 week before each course. To cancel, you must call the museum as soon as possible. No refunds are issued after registration, including for "no-shows," with the exception of classes canceled by the Museum of East Texas. Classes must meet a minimum of 6 students to proceed as scheduled. Before enrolling your child, kindly verify the age ranges for seamless registration. Thank you!
