Class Description

Class Title: Catching Up with Color Theory Date: Tuesday, September 24 Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Grade Level: 3rd-5th Grade Cost: $8 per class Supplies: All supplies provided Join us for an exciting afterschool art class designed for young artists in 3rd to 5th grade! This September, we'll explore the fascinating world of art and animals. Students will dive into drawing, clay, and watercolor basics, and learn a little art history along the way. No experience or prior art knowledge required! Classes will start promptly at 4pm, when you are able to drop off your child and pick them up by 5pm. In this particular class, "Catching Up with Color Theory," students will learn about color theory by making a color wheel and learn how to paint by using different techniques (wet on wet, wet on dry, dry on dry, and wax resist). By the end of the class, students will have learned foundational watercolor skills, understand how to use colors, and will have done a underwater themed wax resist watercolor project using their different techniques. With time permitting, students will share their paintings with their classmates. Don't miss this opportunity for your young artist to learn new skills, express their creativity, and have fun with fellow art enthusiasts!
