Class Description

Class Title: Armored Animals Date: Tuesday, September 17 Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Grade Level: 3rd-5th Grade Cost: $8 per class Supplies: All supplies provided Join us for an exciting afterschool art class designed for young artists in 3rd to 5th grade! This September, we'll explore the fascinating world of art and animals. Students will dive into drawing, clay, and watercolor basics, and learn a little art history along the way. No experience or prior art knowledge required! Classes will start promptly at 4pm, when you are able to drop off your child and pick them up by 5pm. In this particular class, "Armored Animals," students will learn about the function and design of suits of armor, note similarities and differences between Sir George Clifford's armor and animal "armor" (think turtles, armadillos), and learn how to draw from photos by using a grid. By the end of the class, students will understand how to draw from a reference photo using a grid. With time permitting, students will share their drawings with their classmates. Don't miss this opportunity for your young artist to learn new skills, express their creativity, and have fun with fellow art enthusiasts!
